A Few Updates

Good morning! I am, surprisingly, still the only one up here since Trey left for work. Most days AG joins me before this time, but today she is still asleep. Last night before bed I asked her what she wanted to be when she grew up and she said, "A kangaroo." The only other thing I've heard her say she wants to be so far is a bird, so it seems we have a theme here. Along those lines, for the last two nights we set a "have a heart" trap in our backyard, and last night the raccoon got himself caught. I am trying not to think about whether the Animal Control crew will have a heart or not. Moving on...

A few more of LL's most frequent sayings, which I left out last time:
"ha go"= here you go (always when she hands us things)
"tose it"= close it (always when she's just opened a cabinet she knows she
shouldn't be into)
"tean up"= clean up (she likes to say this and even sometimes helps to do
it!)
"climb, clap, walk,march"- (she says this while making motions with her
hands and highstepping, like they do during song time in the church
nursery while they sing cute songs)
hands- said climbing onto the stepstool at the bathroom sink, as in, "I
know this is what gets washed here..."
"rainies"= raisins (this has been a favorite for many months...what is
oatmeal without them?)
"belly"= library (she got a book about "Maisies" going to the library from
the library...oh the delight!)
"YAY!"- when she's done something she's happy about, usually
accompanied by hand-clapping

Hopefully this will be a "yay!" kind of day for y'all out there, too!

So cute! I love listening to little ones who are just learning to talk -- they all say things in their own way. For some reason, Aubrey called raisins "nee, nees" for a long time...? Anyway, we can't wait to hear her in person in about a month!
