A Few Things in March

March was filled with fun from start to finish, as was April, which probably explains why I am just getting around to posting about it! The first weekend in March T's parents came to stay with the kids for a night so we could celebrate our 12th anniversary, which was on Feb. 24. We are so grateful for that gift of time and care, but ended up with no pics to record it...we couldn't have been in that much of a hurry to get away, could we? :) However, here's one to remember the visit some of us made earlier that Friday to see Mimi and PawPaw. I love this one of PawPaw and the boys: Our neighborhood had an egg hunt the weekend before Easter and our kids had a good time... T built a great garden box and had some good little helpers... and during a break we enjoyed entertainment from SJ with her ribbon stick and LL with her hula hoop! We were thankful to have all the grandparents come join us on March 28 for AG and LL's school's open house. Beforehand we had a quick supper and little egg hunt in the front yard. Here's LL in her Egyptian collar and cuffs showing off some of what she's learned this year. The next day was Good Friday, and our family plus all four grandparents celebrated AG's upcoming 9th birthday with a breakfast and trip to the strawberry patch, which I'll post on soon! Also, Easter photos yet to come! A final March event: SJ's 5 1/2 birthday and date to celebrate with T.

More Disney World

Of course lots of pics were snapped on our trip, so here are a few more fun ones. Really, I consider this "narrowing it down"! All of us with Donald

Our day at Animal Kingdom...both boys got to ride this one with T!

T and the girls rode Expedition Everest many times. The rest of us had some good rest and playtime while waiting!

Gran and PopPop knew exactly when ice cream breaks were in order!

All of us on a trek in "Asia"

Had to include this one...SA was such a trooper through the days we didn't go back for naps. We discovered at Epcot, though, that he would inevitably fall asleep on what RL called "the Rainforest Ride" (Living with the Land).

Monorail!

At Hollywood Studios...got to ride Toy Story thanks to fast passes.

Magic Kingdom...ready for the Space Orbit!

Ready for the Street Party!

T and all the kids got some great party time with Woody.

LL was happy to be his dance partner!

The kids loved climbing through the Swiss Family Treehouse with Gran and PopPop.

A highlight of the trip: we met Peter Pan!

RL had talked since before the trip about wanting to take a sword so he could "cut off Captain Hook's feather" if he met CH. We never saw him, but he did get to ask Peter for tips on how to do this in case he ever did run into him. I love how polished all the characters are in their answers to every question; Peter told RL he should tell CH that his shoe was untied and then when he bent down to tie it, that was his chance to cut the feather!

Sunset by the castle on our final night...a lovely end to a wonderful trip!

Thanks, Gran and PopPop! We all had a magical time!

Disney World!

Where to start? We enjoyed a great week at Disney World with Gran and PopPop back in February! Here's just a sample of some of the fun times, and I hope to post more soon. Just arrived and ready to check out Spaceship Earth at Epcot!

We took a few minutes on our first morning at Magic Kingdom to meet Cinderella and a few other princesses. This was one of the few times we opted to do this...most of our time was spent pursuing fast passes for roller coasters and riding them over and over (well, everyone except me, SA, Gran, and RL)! Made me realize how much our girls are growing up!

Riding the rails during one of the others' roller coaster runs! We had fun at our own speed! RL still says his favorite rides were "the people mover" and "the rainforest ride" (Living with the Land at Epcot!).

We spent a day in Magic Kingdom with my cousin and her two almost-grown kids...so fun! Here we are after riding Pirates of the Caribbean! Is that Captain Jack Sparrow next to Gran? :)

Carousel!

The girls, Gran, and I went to lunch at Cinderella's castle one day. Here's one of the special guests the girls got to meet there!

We were given swords at lunch for all the boys (yes, 3!) to complement the girls' magic wands. RL was happy!

This little guy was a champ the whole trip as we wheeled him from place to place in his stroller!

Ready for another day at Magic Kingdom

Taking a break on another morning at Epcot

Kids in the beautiful Canada showcase

As we continued on around the world showcase, we were approached by about 6 characters who were just starting their greeting time! Jackpot!

Peekaboo with Mr. Smee...a highlight for RL!
