Well, clearly it's been a while and I have some catching up to do. But I just realized that we have news that anyone who reads this probably heard months ago, but I haven't officially recorded here: We are looking forward to welcoming a new little boy, Lord willing, in early June! We found out he's a boy in January and surprised the kids that night with a cake that revealed the news with blue icing inside. Here they are, ready to find out!
While each had his/her own guess as to whether it was a boy or girl, no one seemed to have a heart set on either, and the collective response when the found out it's a boy was sort of underwhelming! Thankfully the excitement about having another baby in general has been very evident, however, since the moment they found out back at Thanksgiving!
The weeks are going faster than ever, and I can hardly believe next week will mark the beginning of the third trimester. Now that it's March it seems the end of the school year is right around the corner, and this whole pregnancy I've been thinking of the due date in terms of it being just a few weeks after the girls get out of school. So suddenly it seems to be getting close! We are so thankful to the Lord that all seems to be going well and look forward to having him here and spending the summer at home together!
